Shop with Wigan & Leigh Hospice

The hospice runs 13 shops across the borough and an online Etsy shop which accept and resell goods donated by members of the local community.

The shops are run and managed by a team of more than 400 dedicated volunteers. This helps to keep our running costs down and means more funds go directly towards patient care.

In 2012, our shops contributed over £950,000 to support the hospice's services. So, every item you donate or buy really does make a difference.

Clear out the Clutter

Rather than throw away your used or unwanted goods why not have a good clear-out and donate them to the Hospice instead? It's good for the environment and good for your local Hospice. Even if you don't want an item you never know what someone else might just want to buy.

If you know someone who is having a clear-out please encourage them to donate their pre-loved goods to the Hospice or organise a Donation Day when you offer to collect unwanted items from friends or colleagues for the Hospice.

High quality & unused items

For those looking for a bargain we often have donations of items made by top brand names and some still with the labels attached so it's worth heading down to see what we have to offer at some great prices. We welcome all your donations.

Where to take your donations

Please take your unwanted items to one of our charity shops, where one of our volunteers will be pleased to receive them. Please can you make sure that any goods are clean and, where appropriate, in working order.

Etsy and our Hospice Reception Shop

If we receive collectable or specialist items we sell them on our Etsy shop. We also have a small shop in our reception area here at the Hospice selling new items. These change on a regular basis so it's worth popping in from time to time. At Christmas time we have a lovely range of tree decorations, gifts and Hospice Christmas cards.

How to become a volunteer

We are always looking for new volunteers for our shops or to help out in the Hospice. Our volunteers find they can make new friends, learn new skills and enjoy a rewarding experience by helping the Hospice. You can get more information here
