Shop with Wigan & Leigh Hospice

The hospice runs thirteen shops across the borough, and an eBay shop, which accept and resell goods from members of the public.

The shops are run and managed by a team of dedicated volunteers - this keeps our costs low, and ensures that most of the money raised goes towards patient care. In 2010, our shops contributed almost £500,000 to support the hospice's services. So, every item donated and every item sold really does make a difference. Over £4 million has been raised since our first hospice shop opened in 1988.

Furniture donations

What do we sell?

The shops sell a wide range of pre-owned goods including clothes, bric-a-brac, furniture, electrical goods, books and CDs. We rely on the generosity of the local population in donating items for sale.

We welcome your donations

Donations of pre-owned items should be made to one of our shops - there are directions on each shop's location page for the best place to park when unloading. Collections and deliveries of larger items - for example, furniture - can be arranged. Please telephone the hospice on 01942 525566 to arrange a collection. (Please note that all settees, easy chairs etc. must have a fire retardant label attached.) Find out more about how to donate items.

If you wish to donate a television, please ask your local shop, as there are limitations on the TVs we can accept.
