Wigan and Leigh Hospice is committed to education and the self development of all personnel and
to sharing our specialist knowledge and skills with other agencies in the community and
hospital settings.

We aim to be innovative and flexible in our approach to education in order to engender in our learners an enthusiasm for learning and research that will impact upon practice. The approach is student-centred within which the learning environment encourages open expression and reflection upon practice. To these ends, the department is active in developing and delivering flexible outreach and in house education programmes and activities.
